Shopping on Threadless: Gamer Edition

I've been birthday shopping for my wee nephew who's going to be 1-years-old this month and I always like to get my nephew something fun and something practical - usually clothes and a toy. So noticed Threadless.com finally added Paypal payment to their site, so I decided to buy him a shirt I wanted to buy my first nephew Evan a long time ago.

Unfortunately the shirt wasn't available in his size ... boo.
So I went for the next best idea which was a cute little Donkey Kong shirt called "Arcade Expressionism" by Brock Davis. I have seen this shirt around the net before and thought is was awesome. My oldest nephew plays videogames and I think its time to start getting the younger one hooked.

My Other Ride Is a Light Cycle - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
But this wasn't the only cool t-shirt design I found. There was the "My Other Ride is Light Cycle" by Rolf Nelson which is a Tron tribute shirt or hoodie.

Haunted Hedge Maze - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
The "Haunted Hedge Maze" by Aled Lewis which is a Pac-Man tribute shirt.

A Simple Plan - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
Or finally my favorite, "A Simple Plan" by Neil Gregory which is a Space Invaders tribute.

Epic 8 bit Art: Donkey Kong Bead Art

dkflikr, originally uploaded by jubeishiro.

They just keep getting bigger and bigger.

Jubeishiro decided to take on the epic task of creating the entire level of Donkey Kong, characters, items and all, from Perler fused beads. The final product was mounted on a black background to hold all the pieces in their proper spots.

Not really sure how big this piece is, but I know my own Donkey Kong creation was almost a half a foot tall, so you do the math.

One of these days I plan to do a really big project for my own house and mount it for hanging on the wall. Soon.

Look What I Found - Super Mario 3D Candy

I'm 27 years old and I still love candy. I can't have chocolate because it's one of my migraine triggers, so I tend to eat things like cake and gummi candy.

Today I found this at the drug store and I couldn't help but buy them. Gummi Marios, Yoshis, Donkey Kongs and such are so cute. The tip inside was kind of lame though. It was for Yoshi's Island DS and I don't know if you can read it but it has something to do with Baby Wario being able to collect coins.

I've had these gummis before in a mini Gameboy case, but I like this packaging better. It has more pieces and it doesn't have the demented looking Link in it.

Do not attempt to climb to the top and rescue a hot chick

Watch as a bunch of Jack@ss rip offs put their buddy to the Donkey Kong test with a real life tower and barrels to dodge in order to save the hot chick at the top. Please do not try this without a lack of brain first and a serious need to be in the Darwin Awards next year.
