Happy Friday the 13th!

A little retro throwback to celebrate Friday the 13th. My fused bead creation, Jason from the Nintendo NES game, Friday the 13th. I made him with colours from the movies rather than the game though.

And speaking of Friday the 13th games, yesterday the kickstarter project, Friday the 13th game hit its target goal of $700,000. This multiple player game which is being created by Gun Media will allow you to play as Jason Voorhees for the first time ever and have you stalking the camp counselors of Camp Crystal Lake. Or you can play as one of camp counselors as they attempt to survive the night.

This project sees the return of Tom Savini, the makeup mastermind behind the look of the original Jason in Friday the 13th series and Kane Hodder, probably the best actor behind the mask in the series.

There is still 14 hours to go on this kickstarter project if you want to grab a perk while they are still available. Head over to their kickstarter page to check out all the perks which range from $5 to $10,000.

Minecraft Cupcakes

My nephew's birthday party is today and he is a big fan of Minecraft, so being the awesome Aunt I am, I decided to make him a bunch of Minecraft cupcakes. Problem is he is really picky... I mean really picky. He only likes vanilla cupcakes with vanilla icing and they have to be white in colour, so I made a bunch of Minecraft cupcake toppers for him out of perler beads.

I made 6 weapons and tools and stuck them into the cupcakes, and then I made 6 characters and monsters from the game and just placed them on top of the cupcakes. I really love the final product and hope to sell these in my store at some point. I hope my nephew like these too. I figure these would make great magnets afterwards or we could use them to make a frame or something.

If you like my pixel art work, please check out my Etsy store and Kickstarter campaign for more artwork.

Help me fund my Etsy store, Pixelized Creations again

I have been trying to restart my Etsy store, once Pixelated Creations, but now called Pixelized Creations but due to a lack of funds, I have not been able to get the supplies needed to stock my store with all the best items.

I have a few items up in the store but only old items I have on hand but nothing is selling and so I can't put any money towards buying any new supplies for new items which I know will sell like they used to.

So I have decided to turn to Kickstarter to bank roll my store reopening. There are various pledge levels from $5 to $50 with lots of great reward items like Chocobo & Moogle magnets, Super Mario Bros. Mushroom keychains, Final Fantasy Character 4 magnet sets, Secret of Mana magnets set, and more.

Please check my Kickstarter page out and consider pledging. Once I have reached my goal of $300 (beads are not cheap even though they are a kid's craft), I will get everyone's rewards out as soon as possible.

Check it out here.

Day of the Tentacle Bead Art for Sale

Took me a long time to finish this but I complete the cast of Day of the Tentacle out of Perler Beads. I am selling the set which features Bernard, Hoagie, Laverne and Purple Tentacle.

Bernard is 14 inches tall and 5 inches at his widest point.
Purple Tentacle is 8.5 inches tall and 7 inches at his widest point
Laverne is 14 inches tall and 6 inches at her widest point
Hoagie is 12.5 inches tall and 8 inches at his widest point.

The set is going for $100 plus shipping on my Etsy store. Right now I only have US and Canadian shipping cost but I can ship Internationally if you contact me.

My Cube Companion in 3D Perler Beads

Before I finished with the whole perler bead craft, I actually managed to create a 3D version of a companion cube out of Perler beads. I am not selling them just because the cube is really fragile and it would be difficult to ship but it was so damn cool to make.

I found the instructions here.

HO HO HO - Harass an Art Thief Day!

Yeah, I'm not going to see my family til next week cause I'm working later today, so I have lots of time to blog about evil picture thieves.

So the army is out in full force! You just don't mess with our community cause we get pissed when you rip us off.

RainbowKidShop aka. Sheena and Joshua from North Carolina

Their information:

Since they both signed one of the emails...
Here is Joshua's My Space page:
www.myspace.com/josrocket
As well as his facebook:
www.facebook.com/squirrelraper#!/profile.php? id=44105979

Yeah, we're doing our homework on these people.

Anyway, further investigation found that she had a My Space full of more stolen picture including some of my work like my Final Fantasy VI collection, my Float Eye and my Pac Man picture frame. God, it was worse than the Etsy store. She has at least 10 or more artists on the My Space that she was using stolen pictures from to promote her store. Again, no credit given to us - they were just posted on there like they were hers.

I tried to leave some links to the original photos as proof of what she did but she blocked the comments and me plus now she's blocked anyone from seeing her page except friends. Guilty much.

A few other artists she stole from have posted about her misdeeds on their blogs and flickr accounts.

You can find Oh Yeah Drink Kool Aid aka Janna's post here and Gamer Grrlz's post here

And thanks to my posts, Rainbow Kid finds herself at the top of google search as a picture thief and not a Etsy seller. BOOYAH!

I have to find it funny that this chick is ripping off work that has been made, sold and blogged about well before her store even existed. Did she really think no one would notice? That no one would realize she was using other artists' pictures in her store?

Honestly at this point, she is just better off to remove all the picture before things get worse.

Update to Rainbow Kid Shop - the Etsy Picture Thief

Got looking into more items from their store today and I found more stolen pictures in their listings.

Their listing for a Zelda Coaster set and then the original picture stolen from Snippygal's flickr account.

Their listing for a Super Mario Bros. 3 Coaster Set (note the same non-matching back shot of the coasters) - And then the original picture stolen from Jejune.net

Then this listing for Super Mario Bros. Coasters has two stolen pictures - From Jejune.net again and from my first found bead artist and inspiration for my whole hobby, Foglera. The bitches are stealing from my Obi-Wan!

Not good at all. So that's what at least 7 stolen pictures confirmed and when we confronted the couple running the store about it, they claimed ignorance and that the pictures came from clients. Still haven't taken them down though. Plus they are promoting the one stolen picture listing on their Twitter account today. Classy!

Reported all the listings and the store to Etsy plus sent messages to all the artists involved, so hopefully the store will be shutdown soon.

Please no one buy from this store - you will not get anything you see in the pictures. These shop owners are advertising false work and are stealing from good artists that make their stuff first.

Picture Thief Alert: Another Etsy Seller At It Again

So this time I'm not one of the people getting screwed here - actually I've just about wrapped up my Etsy store due to lack of time but it still kills me to see other sellers on Etsy using pictures stolen from my fellow bead artists.

We all sell items from video games, I get that but if you don't have a product pre-made to post on Etsy, then make it before you sell it. Don't rip off someone other artist's picture and slap it on your site until you can make one. It's false advertising.

If you really need to put a pre-order spot for a customer, then put a picture of the sprite as a placeholder and not a picture of bead art from another artist. And especially don't post a picture and claim it's your work.

We will find out and bust you.

Like this artist currently selling on Etsy - Rainbow Kid Shop. She used this picture from another Etsy artist, Pixelated Productions to reserve a bead art piece for a customer. Again, its a video game sprite, so use the bloody sprite from the game as a placeholder and not another person's work. You are creating false advertising - some Etsy shopper is going to think that is your original work.

Now that she's actually created the piece, she's posted her own picture of it in a second listing but she should have put the work in before hand. Lazy bitch.

Then there's this little item - the Tetris coaster which I know has been ripped off many times over but focus on the picture here she's using and not the concept. It's the same as this Etsy artist. I love how Rainbow Kid hasn't even tried to modify the pictures in anyway - just posting the same picture from other Etsy artists. So glad I reported these.

Then we have the final nail in the coffin, the Mario Checkers picture which she didn't even remove the time stamp from. She got this one from this artist, coolstuffforsale. This item has been blogged about on various websites in the past, so you know Rainbow Kid is ripping this picture and idea off. Nice one.

Yeah, Rainbow Kid is definitely getting coal in her stocking this year. And maybe some dog poop too.

Apparently Now I'm From Costa Rica

So the other day I got an email from a friend telling me that I work has appeared on a gallery for Perler Bead art. So I followed the link she sent me and find my 3D Mario Mushroom picture uploading onto some gallery for a Perler Bead store but it's listed under the name, Adrian - 14-year-old, Costa Rica. What the fuck!

Now I wouldn't be so mad if it was my design he stole but it was my picture. He couldn't even get up of his lazy little 14-year-old butt to made the god damn thing himself in order to earn the pattern the site offers when you post something in the gallery. Nope, he just ripped off my picture and uploaded it.

But I have spies everywhere as I always say and I found out. I emailed the main parent company site, EK Success Brands, to get them to take the picture down but they never responded, useless pricks ... so I'm just going to rant about their lack of help and this little bastard, Adrian on all my online outlets. Probably won't do anything but it makes me feel better.

Also from here on out, every one of my photos will be re-uploaded with my company name on them. I am so sick of people stealing my photos and custom designs.
