Lightsaber Duel at 2015 Fencing Senior World Championships

Two professional fencers performed a choreographed lightsaber duel at the 2015 Fencing Senior World Championships in Moscow and it was pretty cool. But it would have been a bit more impressive if the Maroon 5 music wasn't killing the mood. Someone needs to edit this video, and add some lightsaber noises and some badass music.

Epic 8-Bit Art: Custom Princess Daisy

Custom Princess Daisy Pinky Street, originally uploaded by kodykoala.

Kody Koala has to be one of my favorite figure artists - every so often I pop over to his flickr account and find the coolest custom stuff. He always seems to come up with unique things that no one else would ever come up with.

He's newest piece is a Princess Daisy figure made from Pinky Street figure parts. She is so cute down to the little Luigi doll she carries. I would totally buy something like this for my collection.

TV Show Theme Song Medley

This guy is pretty good especially when considering he's singing with himself. Themes from various TV shows including a bunch of my favorite geek shows like True Blood, Family Guy, Big Bang Theory, The X-Files and The Simpsons.

Sweet Tee - 8-Bit Blues

Available to buy on Threadless and created Jacques Maes, 8-Bit Blues is an awesome gaming shirt. It features Mario as a blues singers blowing into a NES game cartridge like a harmonica. So sweet. Too bad Threadless doesn't take paypal or I would totally buy some from their site.

My Friends Rule - Me as Batgirl

I have a wicked artist friend, Eric DeSantis who created the pinup girl picture you see on my sidebar and he posts his artwork on a blog with other fellow artists. It's called Cup O'Doodle. Lately he's been doing comic book stuff and I challenged him to not only do Batman but do me as Batgirl. Today I found this - "Have Faith in Batgirl". Okay, girl scream!

Eric is so amazing for doing this. Please check out the Cup O'Doodle blog, his other blogs and buy his stuff. Support Eric and his amazing work!

Mario Kart Love Song: Rock Version

The original song was made by Sam Hart but I really like this rock verion of the Mario Kart Love Song better. This version was made by Sir Haakon.

You can see all his Lost character here and follow his updates on his Twitter account. Check out all his work on his website, Drawsgood.com

Dr. Horrible's Sing-ALong Video Game?

My favorite Doctor in the whole world is at it again with a whole new project, though he really needs to finish his last one. Doc Octoroc has begun work on a 8-bit NES video game of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

So far he's posted a few screenshots he's created plus three NES style arrangements of 3 songs from the movie: So They Say, My Eyes and Everything You Ever Finale.

Doc plans to make the entire score into NES style arrangements and make the movie into a NES style game which you can play. It's unclear yet the genre of game he plans to make it into yet but it should be cool to see the final product.

Till then, here's the link to the three songs he has up so far.

A Dharma Restaurant? I think I Hear ABC's Lawyers ....

Believe or not, a group of people are opening a restaurant in Massachusetts that is themed around the Dharma Initiative. The restaurant, Dharma Buns is still in the process of building but already has their logo, a video and website to promote the place.

Apparently their logo is not a direct copy of the Lost Dharma logo, so they believe they can't be sued over this but if ABC gets wind of this and feels they infringe on the idea enough - who knows what might happen.

I think the idea is pretty cool though and hopefully all will go well for them.

Epic 8-Bit Art: 3D Super Mario Bros. 3 World 1 Map

This cool piece of art was created by fellow Pixelgasm forum member, Justin aka NES--Still-the-Best. It's a 3D version of World 1 in Super Mario Bros. 3.  Pretty sweet, huh?

Justin is pretty good at making these 3D scenes and has made several NES 3D pictures before like this Mario scene above. Check out more of his work at Deviant Art.

Poker Face Mash-up Featuring Lady Gaga, Christopher Walken and Cartman

Super Mario Bros. - Pulp Fiction Style

Jeremie Duval put together a sweet animation staring Mario in the style of Tarantino. Poor Mushroom Kingdoms bastards never knew what hit them.

When This Baby Hits 88MPH ....

I wanted to post this since I've been playing Ratchet and Clank: a Crack in Time. It seemed so appropriate. The artist behind this cool piece is Michael Turvey aka Mikey from the Dtoid C-blogs. I love the Back to the Future theme here. So cool!

I'm More Piratey Than You - Monkey Island Tribute Song

Created by Monkey Island super fans, Andrei "SilverWolfPet" Constantinescu, Marius Fietzek, Thorsten Fietzek and Mihai Constantinescu, I'm More Piratey Than You is a tribute song to the fabulous Monkey Island series as well as a celebration of International Talk like a Pirate Day.

This video was too cute not to post, especially when you hear their accents.

Zombies on Your Lawn: Human Version

It's always cute when a bunch of people get together to act out a song in a creative way. Even better when there's a chick in the video with big boobs bouncing up and down too. *cough* I mean a chick with a cute flower shirt on ....

The video was created by Wild Particle.com and is a creative redo of the Plants vs Zombies music video.
