8-Bit Art: Gravity Falls Custom Fused Bead Art Sets

I have absolutely been obsessed since I discovered Gravity Falls a several months ago and was really upset when they ended the show. That series finale brought me to tears... but I find the best way to handle a tragedy is through art!

So I created 12 custom fan art versions of the characters from Gravity Falls. The first 6 main characters, Dipper, Mabel, Wendy, Stan, Soos and Waddles were modified from the work of The Oluk on instagram. I changed the eyes, the noses, some colours, hair styles, and some other minor things.

The other 6 characters, Stanford Pines, Robbie, Bill Cipher, Gideon, Pacificia, and Old Man McGucket are completely my own fan art designs.

I also created a 12 pack of Gravity falls cupcake toppers featuring all the symbols from the Cypher Wheel, a tiny Bill Cipher and Journal #3.

You can purchase these pieces in sets of 6 or in indivdual pieces or in 2 packs. Check out my store for all the different purchase options. Pixelized Creations on Etsy

8 Bit Art: Star VS the Forces of Evil Custom Pieces

Another new piece in my store is from the Disney XD cartoon, Star VS the Forces of Evil. I found this piece of pixel art on a tumblr page, Jack's Empty Space (not sure if the person behind the page is the artist or not), but I took this pixel art and modified it greatly to look more true to the cartoon characters.

The original pixel art I found.

These pieces are available in my etsy shop for $15 each or $25 for the set. These are big pieces and best for framing or mounting on a canvas but you could also get them with magnets.

Check out my store here.

Pixel Art: Calicifer the Fire Demon from Howl's Moving Castle

From Howl's Moving Castle, it's Calicifer the Fire Demon.

He is made completely out of perler fused beads. He works on a slot and tab system to snap together to make a base that holds a fake flickering tea light that lights him up in the dark to make him look like he is on fire.

You can watch him light up here.

This is a custom original design by myself at Pixelized Creations. Please do not recreate for commercial purposes. Credit me if you recreate for personal use.

You can purchase this awesome piece for $20 CAN plus shipping on my Etsy Store. He comes with instructions on how to assemble him and the tea light with the battery.

Check out my store and other items here.

Official Trailer: Zootopia

Live Action Smurfs Movie? Oh Gah...

It's official - nothing from my childhood is safe from the people in Hollywood anymore. They've already ruined or announced their plans to ruin everything from the Karate Kid movies to the Flight of the Navigator, and now they're ruining the Smurfs. Pictures and details of the live action Smurfs movie with Hank Azaria as Gargamel hit the net and it's scary. Movies details included a small list of Smurf actors like Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays.

Why can't they leave these things alone?

Must Watch: Llamas with Hats

I work with wonderfully weird people and this is one of the cool things those people turned me onto - Llamas with Hats. There are 2 episodes only so far in the video series but the creator, Film Cow has made various other series like Charlie the Unicorn, which is so awesome and a must watch.

Enjoy!

My Tribute to Lost - Hurley

So I was watching season one of Lost one day and I decided to draw - most of the stuff that came out of that session was crappy except this - cartoon Hurley. This was the only character I liked, so here's he is.

Dexter meets Dexter's Lab

Tee Fury had an awesome Dexter t-shirt for sale for those who love both Dexter the cartoon mad scientist and Dexter the serial killer but sadly its gone now. They need to bring it back.

Lost: the Animated Series

This is a small project from artist, Michael Myers that I found via a friend's flickr account. He has drawn quite a few characters from the series and I've posted just a portion of them above. You can see all his Lost character here and follow his updates on his Twitter account. Check out all his work on his website, Drawsgood.com

A First Look at Batman: Under the Red Hood Movie

This weekend I checked out Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths which is a fantastic movie if you are a DC Comic fan but on the DVD was a featurette on a new movie in the DC universe, Batman: Under the Red Hood which is coming to DVD in Summer 2010.

I managed to find the featurette on You Tube and posted it here. The movie follows the graphic novel, A Death in the Family which covers the epic story of death of Jason Todd's Robin.

While my favorite voice actors, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill were not listed as the Dark Knight and the Joker for this movie, the producers still brought in some amazing actors for this tale: Bruce Greenwood as Batman, Neil Patrick Harris as Nightwing, Jenson Ackles as Red Hood, and Joe DiMaggio as The Joker.

This is going to be an awesome Batman movie.

More Then Meets the Stomach: Megatron Cake

megatron cake, originally uploaded by debbiedoescakes.

My favorite cake artist, Debbie Does Cakes is at it again - this time she made an amazing Transformer cake featuring Megatron.

The shading on this cake is fantastic. Whoever purchase this cake is a lucky person. I really wish I lived near Debbie so I could purchase something from her.

Planet 51: Trailer

This movie is not even plausible but the trailer is so funny and cute, so who really cares that the movie is actually suggesting there's a distant planet full of Aliens that just happen to talk English and live exact like humans did in the 1950s.

Planet 51 is out in theaters now.

Must Watch: Dr. Tran Mail

Seen I no longer have Attack This to post all my geekish thoughts and finds on, I'll have to start doing it here. My new feature, Must Watch, will be on going post about great finds from movies, TV or the internet.
Today's must watch is Dr. Tran Mail which is a great web cartoon that will have you laughing your butt off. Too funny to explain, so just watch but watch it at home. Sometimes they get a little weird.

Find more episodes on the Mondo Media Channel on You Tube.

Epic 8-Bit Art: Batman Meet Batlik

As you can tell I'm in an art mood this week as my last few posts have been Epic 8-Bit pieces. I promise to post a review soon but for now, enjoy more kicking art.

Surfing through Facebook today, I spotted a cute new piece from my friend, the infamous Malik Dahl who is an excellent cartoonist. He posted a cute "Cartoon meets Reality" piece that features himself in a Batman costume hanging out on top of his copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Since you can't really check out Matt's drawings on his facebook page unless you're his friend, you'll just have to settle for his web comic site, Dahl Comics.

Papercraft Armor to the Extreme

This was posted along with the video on Facebook which just confused me when I read it, so I just had to post it here. Enjoy!

What is this? Is that a boy or a girl?
Noooo, it's Final Fantasy!
Nobody should have that many zippers...no matter what fantasy it is...
