Shopping on Threadless: Gamer Edition

I've been birthday shopping for my wee nephew who's going to be 1-years-old this month and I always like to get my nephew something fun and something practical - usually clothes and a toy. So noticed Threadless.com finally added Paypal payment to their site, so I decided to buy him a shirt I wanted to buy my first nephew Evan a long time ago.

Unfortunately the shirt wasn't available in his size ... boo.

So I went for the next best idea which was a cute little Donkey Kong shirt called "Arcade Expressionism" by Brock Davis. I have seen this shirt around the net before and thought is was awesome. My oldest nephew plays videogames and I think its time to start getting the younger one hooked.


But this wasn't the only cool t-shirt design I found. There was the "My Other Ride is Light Cycle" by Rolf Nelson which is a Tron tribute shirt or hoodie.


The "Haunted Hedge Maze" by Aled Lewis which is a Pac-Man tribute shirt.


Or finally my favorite, "A Simple Plan" by Neil Gregory which is a Space Invaders tribute.

Flynn Lives - Countdown to Tron Legacy

So a little while ago my boyfriend stumbled across a viral game for the new Tron Legacy which is the sequel to Tron. This game was a 8-bit art picture which was filled with picture references to various video games and you had to guess what they were. If you managed to guess them all, you would win a prize. Well, my boyfriend and I put our heads together and figured out all the games and this is what we won - an ENCOM employee badge.

Now he put in his picture for the first win but I entered the game a second time and got my own badge which is what you see above. The main site promoting the movie is Flynn Lives.com but the game can be found on Arcade Aid.com.  Make sure you create a login in to save your progress and win.

Spike TV Video Game Awards 2009

Spike TV is back with the Video Game Awards on December 12th, 2009 and you can vote now for your favorite games. Head over to the website to vote for all your favorite titles in the catergories like Game of the Year, Best Soundtrack, Best PC Game, Best Downloadable Content and more.

This year is packed full of amazing titles and I personally had a hard time picking my favs. Just take for example the 5 games up for game of the year:

1. Batman: Arkham Asylum
2. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
3. Assassin's Creed 2
4. Left4Dead 2
5. Call of Duty 2: Modern Warfare 2

How the hell do you choose one game from a list that full of great games? I choose Uncharted 2 but it was a close tie with Batman and Assassin's Creed 2.
