Buffy the Vampire Slayer MMO Game Announced
Somebody must be reading my blog.
Back in February 2007, I wrote a small post about the three games I wanted to see get made and they were Princess Bride, Labyrinth and Buffy the Vampire in MMO form.
And so far, we have a new Princess Bride game ...
And today Twentieth Century Fox and The Multiverse Network have announced they have started working on a massive multiplayer online game for Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The game will allow players to play in either a fully immersive 3D environment or in a Flash-based 2D game, but all players will be able to interact no matter what version they choose. The game will be launched within "Multiverse Places," a new social virtual world from Multiverse. Currently under development, "Buffy" will go into "beta" testing later this year.
With the game being based on the mythology and the canon of the show, it means the Buffy world has left it open for lots of players to have the chance to be a slayers in the upcoming Buffyverse MMOG.
I personally want to be a vengence demon like Anya or maybe a watcher like Giles.
