Confirmed: No Xbox 360 Price Cut This Fall

Microsoft representative today broke the company's own copy/paste statement about "Microsoft does not comment on rumors and speculation." How so? By Xbox marketer John Porcano saying on his blog that no price drop is headed for the Xbox 360 this holiday season.

"As you're all aware, there have been rumors of a price drop for the Xbox 360 coming along later this year. The official word from folks in the know is that there are currently no plans for a price drop this fall."

For the record, Porcano bolded those words, not us.

So for all those gamers who were hoping for an Xbox 360 price cut, we hate to inform you that your hopes have been dashed. At least for this holiday season.
