Kody Koala created a wicked cool Mario Mech out of a huge vinyl Mario figure and a tiny Mario keychain. I really wish I has to skills to make a custom action figure but I don't think I have the steady hands or the know-how to make something this cool.

Kody hopes to make a whole series of Mushroom Kingdom Mechs.

My boyfriend loves to tease me about how I decorate my bedroom (yes, we live together but sleep in different rooms. I have headaches and he has insomnia - two rooms = two happy morning people) because I have a ton of gaming/geek stuff adorning my space. I have art on the walls, stuffed animals on shelves, etc. and he hates it because its looks childish.

Nostalgic Nerdom proves that you can have gamer decor in your home and not have it look childish. It can look artistic or stylist - Martha Stewart meets Mario, if you will.

She combined easy to do Perler fused bead art with a simple glass vase filled with blue flat glass beads created a elegant underwater Mario moment for her home.

Simple, yet Stunning. And that's a good thing.

Gaming Infused Music: The High Road - Broken Bells

The High Road by the Broken Bells is my new favorite song because it has a ton of cool arcade like sounds in it. I wish more mainstream music would fuse game sounds or soundtracks into their music like rappers do with their music samplings.

Kody Koala is at it again. This time he made a custom Princess Peach out of Pinky Street parts. She is so cute all in pink and holding her little Chibi Toad doll.

Kody has also made a custom Daisy and Samus Aran Pinky Street statue in the past.

Club Nintendo: Elite Member Rewards Announced

Any one who is a Nintendo fan must be a member of Club Nintendo, otherwise you are just wasting all your hardcore love for the Big N when you could be getting some love in return.

Club Nintendo is a website that rewards member with items when they enter codes found in first party Nintendo games (Nintendo Wii, Wii-ware and Nintendo DS titles) and spend time answering questionnaires about those games. From these codes and questionnaires, you will be given certain amount of coins which will built up over time and can then be used to buy rewards from the Club Nintendo store. I have personally purchased a cool Legend of Zelda poster set and am now saving up for Nintendo Hanafuda Cards.

On top of the rewards you trade in coins for, members are also given rewards for achieving either Gold or Platinum status within club year by reaching certain coin amounts (coins traded in throughout the club year still count towards the elite status total in the end).

Club Nintendo just announced the new Gold and Platinum rewards for this year and they are pretty cool. Gold members who earned 300 coins this year will be receiving a 2011 calender filled with custom Nintendo artwork. The picture seen here is artwork from last year's calender. They haven't posted the new 2011 calender artwork yet.

Platinum members who earned 600 coins this year will be receiving a Mario and friends statue which features various Super Mario Bros. characters like Mario, Bowser, Princess Peach and more.
